Chief Executive Officer Don Collins and eight members of WRI’s Transportation Technology Business Unit will join approximately 10,000 policy makers, administrators, researchers, and government and industry representatives at the 89th Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) in Washington, D.C. January 10 through 14.
On January 11 at 8:00 a.m. at the Marriott, WRI Lead Engineer Shin-Che Huang will present a paper called, “Influence of Aging Temperature on Rheological and Chemical Properties of Asphalt Binders.”
In the same session, WRI consultant Changping Sui will present, “A New Technique for Measuring Low-Temperature Properties of Asphalt Binders with Small Amounts of Material.”
WRI Lead Scientist Mike Harnsberger will participate as a member of TRB Committee AFK-20, Characteristics of Bituminous Materials, and WRI Lead Engineer Shin-Che Huang will contribute as a member of Committee AFK30, Characteristics of Nonbituminous Components of Bituminous Paving Mixtures.
The Transportation Research Board is a division of the National Research Council, which serves as an independent advisor to the federal government on scientific and technical questions of national importance. The TRB Annual Meeting addresses all aspects and modes of transportation and is the country’s largest transportation convention.
On January 15, representatives from WRI’s Transportation Technology Business Unit will conduct a half-day review of WRI’s work on the Federal Highway Administration contracts “Fundamental Properties of Asphalts and Modified Asphalts, III” and “Asphalt Research Consortium.”
The review is open to all interested members of the asphalt research community.
